Acknowledgement of Country

The Groove Man acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we operate in Queensland, and we pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their Elders past, present, and emerging. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture and honour the deep spiritual significance these places hold for First Nations communities.

We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and that the lands we work on have been home to First Nations peoples for tens of thousands of years. We respect the diverse customs, languages, and traditions that continue to thrive across Queensland and commit to fostering reconciliation through meaningful action.

Commitment to Reconciliation

As part of our ongoing commitment to reconciliation, The Groove Man pledges to:

  • Support Indigenous Voices: Amplify First Nations perspectives in the music and audio industries by promoting Indigenous artists and creators.
  • Cultural Awareness & Education: Provide opportunities for staff and customers to engage with and learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
  • Ethical Partnerships: Collaborate with First Nations businesses, artists, and communities in ways that support sustainable economic and cultural growth.
  • Acknowledge Country Regularly: Ensure our business practices, events, and public communications include respectful acknowledgments of Traditional Custodians.
  • Advance Inclusion & Equity: Work towards greater representation of First Nations people in our industry and business operations.

We are committed to walking alongside First Nations peoples in the journey toward justice, recognition, and equality. If you have any suggestions on how we can further support reconciliation, we welcome your input.
