1. Introduction

The Groove Man is committed to ensuring that all wireless and Bluetooth-enabled devices sold comply with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) standards. This policy outlines our commitment to regulatory compliance, product certification, and adherence to Australian laws governing radiofrequency and telecommunications equipment.

2. Regulatory Compliance and Certification

All wireless and Bluetooth-enabled devices supplied by The Groove Man:

  • Must comply with ACMA regulations under the Radiocommunications Act 1992 (Cth) and the Telecommunications Act 1997 (Cth).
  • Are tested for compliance with electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radiofrequency (RF) safety standards.
  • Must display the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM), indicating they meet all applicable ACMA technical requirements.

Manufacturers and suppliers must ensure that:

  • Products are tested and certified by accredited testing bodies before being sold in Australia.
  • Documentation, including Declarations of Conformity (DoC) and test reports, is available upon request.
  • Devices do not interfere with licensed telecommunications networks or emergency services.

3. Labelling and Product Marking

The Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) must be affixed to all wireless and Bluetooth-enabled products, demonstrating compliance with:

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards.
Electromagnetic Energy (EME) exposure limits.
Telecommunications and radiocommunications requirements set by ACMA.

Products without the RCM mark or valid certification may be restricted from sale or recalled in accordance with ACMA enforcement measures.

4. Customer Assurance & Safety

To ensure compliance, The Groove Man:

  • Sources wireless and Bluetooth-enabled products only from reputable manufacturers that meet ACMA certification standards.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of product compliance documentation.
  • Responds to any customer or regulatory concerns regarding wireless interference or product certification.

Consumers can report suspected non-compliant devices to ACMA or contact us for product verification.

5. Enforcement & Non-Compliance

Failure to comply with ACMA regulations may result in penalties, product recalls, and restrictions under the Radiocommunications Act 1992 (Cth). The Groove Man works proactively to avoid non-compliance and ensures that all products meet legal and technical standards before sale.
