2. Compliance with Australian Regulations

All imported audio equipment must comply with Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) standards and mandatory product certification laws. Our importers and suppliers must ensure that:

  • Products carry the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM).
  • Electrical equipment meets AS/NZS 3100 and related safety standards.
  • Wireless and Bluetooth devices comply with the Radiocommunications Act 1992 (Cth).
  • Energy-consuming devices adhere to the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) Act 2012.

Failure to meet these standards results in product rejection and potential regulatory action.

Suppliers must provide evidence of:

  • Declarations of Conformity (DoC) for electrical and electronic goods.
  • Independent laboratory test reports proving compliance with Australian safety and performance standards.

All documentation must be available upon request for verification and regulatory inspection.

4. Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability

  • Be sourced from manufacturers adhering to international labour laws.
  • Avoid forced labour, child labour, and unsafe working conditions.
  • Comply with environmental regulations to minimise ecological impact.

We reserve the right to audit suppliers to confirm adherence to ethical sourcing standards.

5. Accountability and Enforcement

If a supplier fails to meet regulatory or ethical standards, The Groove Man will:

  • Suspend or terminate contracts with non-compliant suppliers.

  • Implement corrective actions to ensure future compliance.
