At the core of the Eos 1.5em is a 1.5mm² tin-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductor, selected for its excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. A stabilised PVC dielectric provides consistent insulation, while a carbon-loaded hybrid screen offers comprehensive protection against both radiated and conducted noise.

Atlas’s unique Dual Drain (‘dd’) system ensures full 360° shielding by using symmetrical drain wires bonded to the screen, creating a consistent, low-impedance connection to ground. This configuration prevents signal contamination from mains-borne interference and RF pollution commonly generated by nearby Wi-Fi, Bluetooth devices, and LED lighting.
