PSB’s Alpha P5 Bookshelf Speakers are a contemporary take on the legendary Alpha Series, offering users the latest advancements in sound engineering. At the heart of each P5 speaker is a custom-designed two-way system, featuring a 5.25” textured polypropylene woofer paired with a ¾” black anodized aluminium dome tweeter, uniquely positioned below the woofer to achieve flawless on and off-axis performance. This design optimizes the soundstage, immersing listeners in a natural, balanced acoustic experience whether in stereo or surround sound setups.

The Alpha P5 incorporates a refined crossover using the complex Linkwitz-Riley acoustic filter, a unique design within this class of speakers. This crossover precisely channels frequencies, resulting in crisp, distortion-free sound reproduction and a perfectly flat frequency response across high and low tones. Together with the rear-firing bass reflex port, this crossover ensures that bass frequencies reach incredible depths without overwhelming the clarity of mids and highs.

Constructed with 12mm MDF for the cabinet sleeve and reinforced with thicker 25.4mm MDF on the front baffle, the cabinet is carefully braced to minimize unwanted resonance. PSB integrates flagship-level damping materials into the P5 design, precisely placed within the cabinet for optimal sound absorption and clarity.

Each Alpha P5 speaker is encased in a high-quality woodgrain vinyl finish, available in both Black Ash and Walnut. The acoustically-transparent, magnetically attached grilles allow the speaker’s natural tones to shine through without obstruction. Completing the build are five-way gold-plated binding post terminals for secure connectivity, suitable for a range of amplifier configurations.
